THE ARTISTIC DIRECTORS

alexandra palmer

is Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Kaleidoscope. She is also the Founder & Designer for Kindred & Wild, an LA based design company, and is the Creative Director at AKP Film & Media. Her two greatest passions in life are dancing and painting. During her artistic career she has evolved a personal artistry that has explored and combined the two art forms, believing that physical and visual dance are inseparable in her work. Originally from Houston, Texas, Alexandra moved to Southern California to pursue a career in the arts and earn a degree from Pepperdine University. She has since continued to develop her dance, creative, and directing artistry while at Pepperdine as well as at studios throughout Los Angeles. Alexandra directed Pepperdine University's dance company, Dance in Flight, for five years and had the opportunity to direct and produce her first feature film based on the company's 2013 stage production. As a student, she was a member of the Dance in Flight company for four years. She served as Student Director of the program and also earned the opportunity to choreograph numerous pieces. After graduation in 2010, she was asked to continue her work with the company and served as a Director as well as a guest choreographer. As a student, she was also the captain of Pepperdine’s dance team that performed at the university’s sporting events, later becoming the team’s Director after graduation. Alexandra received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art, with an emphasis in painting from Pepperdine University (2010).

kelsey lynn alexander

is Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Kaleidoscope. She is a native to California and is an accomplished Los Angeles based dancer and choreographer. She teaches dancers of all ages in the Los Angeles area and coaches/choreographs for high school dance teams and musical productions in Southern California. Kelsey is known for her innovative choreography mixed with artistic concepts that inspire creativity and push conventional boundaries. Recently, she has been nominated and awarded for her choreography by the NYA Awards and Jerry Herman Awards. Kelsey’s work has been featured all over the stage, but also in Film. She currently tours with Showstopper Dance Competition, which travels across the nation hosting competitions for local dance studios. A graduate of Pepperdine University (2013), she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religion, striving to always tell a story through movement while giving glory to God through all of her work.
